How confident is Rep. Lynn Woolsey in her re-election? She was one of 15 House members who voted in favor of a congressional pay raise today. The $1,700 cost-of-living increase failed on a 402-15 vote. It also was rejected without a roll-call vote by the Senate last week. Members of Congress are paid $174,000 a year.  Rep. Mike Thompson, the other North Coast congressman, voted no.
